Benifei Calls for Revision of Toy Safety Directive in European Parliament Draft Report.

The European Commission has launched a revision of EU chemicals legislation as announced in its Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability last year. 

Thanks to the great preparation from the Chairman, secretariat, and convenors of the European Standardisation Organisation CEN’s Technical Committee 52, the web conferences held last week and Monday this week have led to significant progress for our toy safety standards. 

The Commission’s new Head of Unit responsible for Toy Safety, Hans Ingels, introduced himself during an online meeting of the Expert Group on Toy Safety.
